Mirage.. ummm, seran los Mirage F1CR de recon??PARIS (AP) — A French official says Mirage and Rafale fighter jets are flying over the Libyan city of Benghazi and could strike Libyan tanks.
The official says the jets are flying over the opposition stronghold and its surroundings to ensure that Moammar Gadhafi's forces could not take any action there.
The official says the French operation could strike Libyan tanks later Saturday.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the operation.

-Planes are on stand by in case tanks movement is detected
-Everything is coordinated with allies according to each Air Forces specialties and capacities
-BA 113 St Dizier= Rafale (Provence)

- BA 132 =M2000-5
- BA 135 = Tankers
- BA = E3F Awacs
Awacs is covering Libyan air space

Today ops: Still ongoing
20 jets involved.
Around 11am 4 Rafales take off from St Dizier to patrol the NFZ. Refuelled around Corsica, once above Libya, Awacs joined to control the mission.
On the way back, refuel again.
At same time a 2 Rafale patrol with Reco NG pod pratolled Libya.
Later, 3PM, 2 M2000D from Nancy joined 2 M2000-5 from Dijon and went to Libya. Mission was to engage ground targets if needed and air target if LAF was in the air.
From St Dizier 2 Rafale patrol took off with 4 AASM each and AAM. These are still in the air as we speak.

No reports of combat for now
Who can give the ok to engage?: The ROE say it is the Patrol leader who decides with no need to ask command in France.
Who commands the operations?: For now only french assests were involved.

A las 17 h 45, las fuerzas francesas abrieron fuego contra un vehículo militar en Libia, según el Ministerio de Defensa. El vehículo ha sido neutralizado. Veinte aviones del ejército francés en la actualidad vuela sobre Libia.
