http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.as ... =&#3428167

United States vs. North Korea

Date/Time: 28th September, 1978 / 01:30:00 Zulu
Location: Sea of Japan, off the coast of Korea
Playable Sides: United States

Introduction

The scenario depicts a fictional attack up the North Korean east coast during a hypothetical Second Korean War. The United States naval and air forces are to strike a variery off targets on the coast, including SAM sites, coastal batteries, ground forces and the naval and air bases at Wonsan.

Orders for Cmdr US Forces

Situation
Your task is to neutralise enemy forces along the eastern Korean coast, while minimizing allied losses. Four key targets have been pre-designated, but you are free to engage all targets of opportunity.

Enemy Forces
Enemy is believed to consist of a variety of forces.
Naval forces operating out of Wonsan include a squadron of missile fast attack craft and a pair of gunboasts. There are also reports of a possible submarine in the area.
Air forces are based out of Wonsan airbase, operating a mix of Mig-17, Mig-21 and Su-7 aircraft. Total strength is estimated at 50-60 aircraft.
Ground forces include a multitude of 130mm, 57mm and 23mm AAA along with SA-2 and SA-5 SAM's. The enemy is also operating a pair of HY-1 Silkworm SSM batteries off the coast of Wonsan, along several mobile coastal artillery units.

Friendly Forces
Allied forces consist of two battlegroups, one centered on the USS Kitty Hawk, the second on the USS Iowa.
Air support is available from a FARP located at Sokcho.
An allied submarine is operating in the area.

Mission
Engage and destroy North Korean forces along the coast. Minimize friendly losses.

Execution
At your discretion.

Download from here: http://www.warfaresims.com/RC/UpdatePack_B440.zip

Unzip to the main Command folder. Answer "yes" to any overwrite requests.

This pack is cumulative; it includes both previous v1.01 RCs. The release notes below cover only items that have changed since RC2. For the full release notes see RC1 (Build 438) and RC2 (Build 439).

If nothing show-stopping pops up, this will probably constitute the final v1.01 codebase. So please everyone give this a try. We took great pains to address the currently most urgent issues (e.g. air-dropped weapon envelope problems) as well as provide features and fixes for players who have asked them.

* Aircraft & submarines have more realistic dive rates.

* Includes the v395 versions of DB3000 and CWDB. Some of the changes include:
