No damos abasto
Summary
Honestly, at the beginning, I had my doubts whether the new features like trade or political parties would really bring something new to the game, and I wasn’t very excited about the look of the strategy map either. Now, despite its few shortcomings and steep learning curve for new players, I found the game to be very solid and detailed with a very competent AI. The new additions make sense and integrate well into the concept of the game. A number of aspects have been streamlined from the previous version of Strength & Honour. The overall game experience is also more complete than with Takeda 3, whose primary focus is warfare. Strength & Honour 2 is a great game which should please History fans interested in this period of the Ancient World (you can chose a small isolated nation and see how history happens again). Wargamers who seek a true challenge from the AI and fans of turn-based strategy who don’t mind basic graphics will also enjoy it. It contains all the aspects that make a turn-based strategy game interesting: improvement to cities, creation of armies, political parties, diplomacy, trade, espionage, treason, and a challenging AI. I really had to fight against myself to stop playing my Spartan campaign in order to write this review. This is a very complex game, especially with the importance of characters at all levels who have an unprecedented depth of personality. The game combines a challenging strategy map (with huge distances to cross) and an excellent battle engine with unforgiving AI generals. Now, if the game had the strategy map of, say, Rome: Total War, and some better graphics on the battlefields, I bet it would be on top of sales all around the world. Anyway, this game has so much to offer that it will be my main game for 2010 and I can only recommend it. Now, if you don’t mind, I have to lead my Spartan troops to the Hindu Kush!
Este resumen de wargamer es bastante explícito.
<<Alios ego vidi ventos;alias prospexi animo procellas>>Marcus Tullius Cicero (He visto otros vientos,he afrontado otras tempestades)
Saludos
<<Alios ego vidi ventos;alias prospexi animo procellas>>Marcus Tullius Cicero (He visto otros vientos,he afrontado otras tempestades)
